Dr. Adiana Trias is pleased to present the 5th presentation in the CREATES Webinar series!
December 17, 2020 – Noon – 1pm
The deteriorating condition of our bridges increments faster than the amount of resources available for rehabilitation and repair. Therefore, it is important to improve inspection protocols to deliver quantitative and objective data that will ultimately help improve asset management. For this purpose, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Nondestructive Evaluations (NDE) need to progressively shift to faster and remote data acquisition platforms. On the geometry characterization field, Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) has been proven to provide such qualities, contributing with valuable information that goes beyond the point cloud data.
This webinar will inform on the current applications of LiDAR data as a tool to improve bridge load rating, bridge modal characterization, construction QA/QC, and bridge deck condition assessment.
Each participant will receive one PDH.
