Education and Workforce Development
CREATES is dedicated to a working environment that educates and trains the next generation of professionals, to find innovative solutions to current and future challenges related to transportation engineering. CREATES hosts a variety of local and national programs that prioritize acquainting high school and college students with the transportation industry.
These programs are federally funded by the Federal Highway Administrations, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the Department of Defense, and Rowan University.
National Summer Transportation Institute
NSTI at Rowan University/CREATES involves an academic program aimed to fulfill the overall goal of acquainting high school students with the transportation industry and potential transportation careers.
Rowan CREATES Cadet Program
Up to five qualified cadets from different military schools and academies can join Rowan University’s transportation engineering experts to take part in critical research.
CREATES Research Internship Summer Program
A 4 or 8 week summer internship for full-time college students to learn about innovative transportation engineering and professional development.
