Rizwan holds a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree; and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He is also a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), and a certified Professional Transportation Planner (PTP). In 1990, Rizwan began his career with the Port Authority as a Traffic Engineer, and now serves as Chief Traffic Engineer.  Rizwan leads diverse teams to deliver critical elements of complex engineering services on several agency capital programs in support of the agency’s priorities to deliver world-class transportation operations and ensure a 21st-century customer experience. He spearheaded coalition building with regional partners to ensure that critical agency projects are planned and constructed in the most effective manner to achieve the Mobility goals and objectives. Rizwan ensures a diversified and productive workforce, while maintaining a vision on succession planning through staff rotations and mentoring to develop technical experts, managers, and future leaders.
