Mr. Motiani has 40 years of experience in the transportation industry that includes serving as senior executive leadership at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). He specializes in traffic engineering and operations that include signal timing, safety improvements, smart work zones, managing large planned and unplanned events and ITS deployment. He has extensive experience working for and with state DOTs. He is a nationally recognized leader in Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O). He served as the founding executive director of the National Operations Center of Excellence, a collaborative effort between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). He is currently the leader of Kimley-Horn’s Princeton Transportation group.
