Biography

Krishnan Viswanathan co-leads Cambridge Systematics’s big data analytics practice and also leads activities in data and travel demand modeling for the Southeastern United States . He has close to 25 years of experience working with Federal Planning and Research Agencies, State department of transportations (DOT), regional planning agencies, public transit agencies and private sector transportation companies. He has developed and analyzed commodity and supply chain based freight models, passenger and freight surveys and applied multivariate statistical techniques to understand passenger and freight movement. He has also developed methods to overcome data limitations and developed travel demand models using pooled data sources. He has used cell-phone and GPS location-based services data to support numerous truck and passenger studies across the nation.
