Biography

Jie Li, PhD. is an associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Rowan University. Dr. Li specializes in operation and control of power and energy systems, modeling and optimization of large-scale power systems, flexible demand-side assets, electric vehicles, and microgrids. Dr. Li and her team are continuously exploring new ideas and tools for ensuring the sustainable and secure electric energy supply at minimum cost. 

Dr. Li was awarded the IEEE PES Best Conference Papers on Planning, Operations, & Electricit Markets in PES General Meeting in 2015 and National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2018. Professionally, she is a First-Year Programs Division Executive Board Member for the American Society for Engineering Education.
