Biography

Dr. Ahmed Saidi is a Assistant Research Professor at the Center for Research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems (CREATES) at Rowan University. Dr. Saidi leads several research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), focusing on the development of innovative materials, technologies, and methodologies to address pavement infrastructure challenges across all traffic levels, with a particular emphasis on improving pavement performance in cold regions.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Saidi accepted the Distinguished Engineering Award on behalf of CREATES from the New Jersey Alliance for Action in 2023 for a project he led on enhancing the performance of cold recycled asphalt mixtures in cold climates. He also received two awards from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in 2019 and 2021 for his research contributions. During his doctoral studies at Rowan University, he was nominated for the 2019 Award for Excellence in Graduate Research.
