Biography

Surya Teja Swarna is currently working on multiple projects funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). In addition, He is also working on developing a Low-cost Pavement Management System for the cities and boroughs in New Jersey in collaboration with Kennesaw State University. His research interests are Pavement Design, Climate Change, Pavement Management Systems, Pavement Modelling, and Life Cycle Assessment.

Before joining CREATES, he completed his doctoral degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, where his research focused on the Influence of Climate Change on Pavement Design and Materials in Canada. He earned his Master’s in Transportation Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, India.
