Abstract:

Advances in intelligent transportation systems and the spread of connected automated vehicles call for a transportation system that handles mobility, safety, operations, and maintenance together. Phase III develops safety and mobility applications that improve intersection safety, reduce congestion and environmental impact, and improve the performance of New Jersey arterial corridors. The system is tested at intersections instrumented with connected vehicle technology.
