Abstract:
This project involves studying the effects of freeze-thaw cycles on the surface properties of asphalt pavements in airfields. This project also focuses on how cyclic loading and environmental factors affect pavement texture, skid resistance, and braking performance, particularly in cold regions. Several Laboratory tests were conducted to assess the influence of aggregate type and mineralogical composition on pavement durability. The findings will help identify optimal aggregate sources for constructing airfield pavements with high resistance to skid and freeze-thaw damage.
