Integration of NJDOT's Pavement Management System Databases

Abstract: 

This project integrated NJDOT’s Pavement Management System (PMS) databases to improve efficiency, accessibility, and decision-making. It included the creation of the Skid Testing Database, enhancements to drainage management applications, and development of a centralized as-built database. The team performed full-stack refactoring, user interface upgrades, and system integrations with tools like PaveRec and PaveRQ. Alpha and beta testing cycles, user acceptance testing, and staff training ensured a smooth rollout. The final system reduced data silos and streamlined workflows, enabling better project planning and network management.
