PMS Roadmap Implementation – Developing Updated Performance Models for NJDOT’s PMS

Abstract:

This study delivered updated, treatment-specific pavement performance models to strengthen NJDOT’s PMS. A decade of condition, treatment, and structural data was consolidated into a comprehensive database. Nonlinear regression modeling was used to develop models for SDI, IRI, rutting, and other performance indicators. Rigorous validation ensured reliability for accurate forecasting and lifecycle planning. These models are a key step toward a fully data-driven PMS, supporting more effective funding allocation and decision-making.
